Part 1 of the self-study package consists of two books. Both books are essential to cover the syllabus for the Diploma in Payroll Management. There is a separate third book which will take you through the application of commercial payroll software to the essentials of payroll management which are covered ‘manually’ in this package.
Part 2 is the “computerised” textbook and is particularly helpful for students who do not already have a working knowledge of or access to payroll software.
This textbook comes with a licence to BrightPay software and explains how to apply all the knowledge and skills covered in the manual textbook through BrightPay in order to arrive at accurate and reliable payroll figures.
The book is based on practical activities, so there is a lot more “doing” than reading, allowing you to get comfortable with using the software and ensuring that you are in a strong position to take and pass the exam. The activities have answers provided so you can check what is on your screen with what the output should have been. All concepts are explained in a clear fashion.
Before you take the Level 3 Diploma in Payroll Management exam, we recommend you attempt at least one ICB mock exam to familiarise yourself with the exam platform and the style of exam questions.
