Hi everyone.

I have my own Ltd company which I pay myself dividends from but not PAYE.

I'm fully empolyed at another company and paid PAYE.

When i carryout freelance work for my ltd company, can I clain fuel back at the 45p/25p rate?

I've been told that because i'm fully employed at another company and paid PAYE, it eliminates me from claiming fuel for freelance work at my ltd company.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Pete

It depends, who told you that you couldn't and what were the reasons?

Is the vehicle you use for your limited company business mileage a company car provided from your PAYE job or anything to do with that job or is it your own provately owned vehicle?

FYI You are not claiming fuel back - you're claiming a mileage rate that covers all vehicle running costs including fuel.

Hi Kathryn.

The issue has now been solved. It was a communication error from the accountant.

Of course I can claim.

Thanks for your reply and for those who read.
