The client is a VAT registered farming business. A TV company has rented a derelict house on a 2nd farmstead owned by the business for a 3 month period for filming purposes.

I believe the rent to be subject to VAT, but the client believe the information he has infers it isn't.

Is the rental invoice subject to VAT?

Giudance as to where to read up on the subject - or a definative answer- most welcome!!

Hi David

Personally I would talk to HMRC and ask them, at least that way you know it will be treated correctly and you can provide the farmer with evidence either way.
