Hi,

Does anyone know what n/c I should put our company new ipad under?

Is it 74XX for entertianment...?

It has been purchased primarily to take photo's of our machines and working practices to put on our website.

Thanks

Hi Jo'Anne

It's a fixed asset like a computer, or depending on its price it could be equipment expensed.  But as a bit of equipment it is definitely not entertainment.

Hope this helps

Kind regards

If it were me and it cost less than £150 I would put it in a P&L expense nominal like promotions or advertising. If it cost more than that I would put it in a BS nominal like Office Equipment.

Hi Jo'Anne,

If it is used wholly for business purposes then I would post this to Office Equipment as a Asset depending on the price of course. As Steve says if under £150 just post it to an office expense account.

If it is not used wholly for business then different rules apply and details for dealing with this can be found on HMRC website.
