Hi Victor
I just wanted to say hello from the ICB Glasgow Branch. I was at the London Regional Chair meeting in November and one of items I discussed with Gary afterwards was how isolated Scotland and Northern Ireland and Wales can feel from London.
Anyway it was just a quick email to say if you ever wanted to come to one of our meetings. You would be very welcomed we will be having a big one on the 14th March 2013 with Barbara Wilson who spoke at our Scottish Conference and the London Conference.
As you know I am also from Dublin and some of family were originally from Northern Ireland . I get the ferry over to Belfast when I am going home to Dublin.
I just thought with Scotland and Northern Ireland being so close by ferry or plane. We could keep in contact and maybe help each others branches if we can. We have a brillant team here . I know they enjoy having better contacts with the whole of the UK. Were a mixture of all the 4 nations in Glasgow. Any one of the Glasgow branch leaders would be happy to help.
Although I believe the central place needs to be London expecially because it is close to business leaders and the Parliament. I also understand the members feeling the distance from London. I do know that they work very hard for us as bookkeepers.
Kind Regards
Sarah Douglas Glasgow and Central Branch
