Rental income (don't know where to start)!!!!!

Hi All,


I hope someone can help, ive got a client, that has two rental incomes, one from a flat and the other from Hoilday House.


I do not have a clue where to start to put it on Sage???


and the best of all she has banks and credit cards and she got into such a mess with it all i just don't know where to start, so i am hoping there is someone that is a bookkeeper in ayr that can help me!!!!!!!

Hi Sarah,

Process a bank receipt against the Rental Income account (4904). If there is a fixed lease term on these rentals you could also set up a Recurring Entry for these transactions. Re the messy bank accounts, perhaps you should attend the upcoming Ayrshire Members meeting, where you should be able to pose some questions to Members in Practice, who may have encountered something similar.
