Having not held a meeting since the beginning of this year which was very poorly attended we are going to relaunch it as part of the ICB's commitment to holding area meetings. It is to be held on Monday 10 September at the Roman Way Hotel on A5 at Cannock. It's very accessible from the motorway and a lovely venue. The meeting starts at 7.30pm and I'm hoping to have a local accountant there to give a short presentation and answer any technical or business development questions you may have. It also gives you an opportunity to network with your local colleagues - and who knows, maybe pick up some work - it's happened before !!

I am currently working my way through my qualifications aiming for Associate status by the end of September.  I will definately attend the meeting and am looking forward to getting to know other members in the area.

Hi,

This meeting would be a great help to me and is not really far from where I live.

I am in the process of setting up my bookkeeping business but seem to have a lot of unanswered questions and lack of slef confidence as to whether I can do my role as a bookkeeper justice.  I guess it's just the unknown as to what would be expected of me as a bookkeeper.

I will put this date in my diary and hope to see you there

Thanks

You will both be very welcome. The meetings are designed for all levels but historically we've always had a lot of student members and newcomers - but we have experienced people as well so a good mix. See you then

Hello everyone,

If you have never attended a branch meeting before, don't be scared! Come along and meet other bookkeepers in your local area, in a relaxed and informal environment. Whether you are a student or a qualified member, come and share your experiences and help our bookkeepers blossom.

Book your place at the upcoming Staffordshire Branch Meeting via the ICB online shop. Click HERE to be redirected.

Have a great day.

Hi

This is my first experience of a forum and am very uncertain about what I am doing.
I am waiting for my Level 2 Computerised Bookkeeping results, having passed the Level 1 & 2 Manual bookkeeping. Once I get this result, hoping that i've passed it, I am keen to start some work but also to talk to others about this. The meeting to be held on 24th September will, hopefully, point me in the right direction.

Please let me know if this is still going to happen.

Thanks

This will happen and members and students are welcome - meetings are informal within a professional structure and we hope that they are informative and constructive. You will be able to meet others at all levels of the profession....... definitely the best way to make progress!
