Dear All,
The topic for the July Hampstead Branch Meeting will be "Practicalities of Bookkeeping".
I will be giving this talk myself and it will include topics such as:
1. Taking over a set of books from another bookkeeper
2. How to organise a shoebox full of receipts
3. Filing systems and what source documents to keep
This talk is aimed particularly at students or members with little or no practical bookkeeping experience, of course even the most experienced members are welcome!
There will not be any meeting in August as this is when most people tend to go on holiday, however there will be a meeting in September and I will be looking for suggestions as to what members would like to discuss (or perhaps "persuade" another member to give a presentation!)
Following suggestions from the meeting on Tuesday, I will be organising this meeting for either the first or second week of July, the date is to be confirmed.
