Hi Nathalie,

Unfortunately I will be missing the meeting again this month.  The reason I missed the last two is because I am pregnant with 3rd child and unfortunately the morning sickness has been rough this time round!  i am now almost 4 months and still being sick in the evenings which is very annoying.

Hopefully the sickness will stop soon and I can attend one of the meetings.  Would be nice to catch up with everyone again.

Hello everybody !!

Well I shall be there because I am giving the lecture !

This time round it is all about dealing with Petty Cash,   entering it into a manual system ( useful knowledge) and dealing with untouched expenses and then....

Doing it on a whizzy whizzy Excel spreadsheet  Tongue Out

There will be a tin of biscuits to keep you going,     a question and answer session,    and time to network with each other.

So....be there or be square...you know it makes sense  Cool

Cheers,

Dinah

PS  Stuart can you call me so we can organise the handouts  - please. ?

Dear All

I am coming to my first meeting, I'm not sure exactly where I'm going or what to expect.

Do I need to bring anything?  Is it easy to find from St James station?

Looking forward to meeting fellow bookkeepers.

Thanks

Hi Lynn,

St James street is litterally few minutes walk to St Stephen club. Depending on the line you take/District or circle line. As soon as you come out the station you will be facing Starbucks, take right walk toward Petty France Road. At the corner you will see a Pub. Cross the road walk few meters. St Stephen club will be almost opposite to the direction you are heading! if you take the circle line the exit of the station is on Petty France road.

Hope this help!

Looking forward to meeting you tomorrow.

Kind Regards,

Nathalie

Great meeting tonight! I really enjoyed the presentations on petty cash by Dinah and Richard and it was lovely to have Gary and June Carter there as well. Gary's talk on the future role of bookkeepers in the plans of HMRC was most informative.

I'm really looking forward to Flora's talk next month and it was very good of Richard to "volunteer" to give a talk on marketing in September!

Hello everybody

Delighted to see so many newcomers to last nights meeting.  do hope you enjoyed the presentations ( thank you Richard) and appreciate the effort you made to arrange  babysitters, plan routes and come out on a hot night.

And, it is always lovely to see our regular members and catch up on how things are going.

Do remember the meetings are run by members for members,  if you would like to see anything on the Agenda, or give a talk,   please do let us know

A particular thank you to Liz for  chairing the meeting last night , Andrew for taking the Register,  and our special Guests Gary and June Carter, for coming to tell  us about the exciting changes ahead for book-keepers and taxation.  More can be read about this in the monthly Newletter.

Hope to see you all next month ,

Cheers,
   Laughing

Hi all

I was sorry I could not attend the meeting last night.
I see from the posts that Gary Carter was present and talking about the Bookkeeper and HMRC.
Is there anywhere we might be able to find out more about that subject?

Thanks!

Claire

Well done, Dinah, and thank you, Richard, for making Wednesday's meeting a success.

Your 'prezies' were very different, Richard.  And Dinah's talk was fluent as always and very well illustrated.

Thank you both.

Hi Mac

Thank you you for your kind comments, Richard put in some enthusiastic time on the presentation , which I think worked very well .

If anybody would like a copy of the handout,  or the completed manual Petty Cash book for reference , just E-mail me and I will arrange to send it to you.

looking forward to seeing you later this month and  another interesting evening.

Cheers,
