Carolynsaid:
“Hi I notice from the forum (and I am not very good at checking this!) that you have a branch meeting on 15 May. I would like to come along if possible and want to know if I have to book through the website or can I just turn up on the day and pay my £5? I am trying to pluck up the courage to sit my Level II manual. I need to do it soon!
I think I met Trippy last year at the Reading Seminar.
Carolyn”
Hi Carolyn, It would be great to see you at the meetings. There is a real mixture of people and levels and it is great to get support from other ICB members. I am sure they will encourage you to do your level II.
The £5 is for the room hire and drinks at the start and at the end. At first meeting where it was £0 but £4 on door 45 people booked but only 35 turned up. As so many people booked and didn't turn up I was out of pocket for the teas and coffees. It is so much better if this is booked on line. Having said that if people turned up without booking that is fine I will take ask for the cash on the dorr.
I know £5 is more than other meetings but they are small and run from pubs. We could not have the level of talks and the numbers in a pub (I did try and book a pub for 30 people and they wanted even more money!).
So the long and the short of it, It would be better to book on line, it helps me manage numbers, seating, drinks but if the occassional one turns up on the day that is ok.
It would be lovely to meet you again. Please email me if you have any questions clare@skybusinessservices.co.uk
