Wednesday 29th February Meeting

Hi all

Dinah will be giving us the next technical lecture on how to deal with carrier bag jobs (Incomplete records).

We will also be getting a talk from Mr Martyn Batten to do with SEO, Web marketing and Hosting.

I am going to be strict this meeting in cutting off lectures to keep to time and ensure we have the last half an hour for networking.

Well done to Ann Marie in encouraging a new member to attend and this throws down the gauntlet to all of the regular attendees and newbies to the group to find another local member and bring them along with you (having made sure they have booked in).

Best regards
Stuart

Hi Stuart,

Am I right in thinking that the time of the next meeting  has changed? According to the ICB shop, the next meeting starts at 6pm.
I may well be going mad, but I thought the last few have started at 6.30.

(Its's not a problem either way, I'll just need to make sure I catch an earlier train)

Many thanks!

Ann

A jolly good afternoon to you all

I have just spoken with the Lovely Liz at the ICB and she has confirmed we have 15 booked in for the 29th.

Perhaps the mood of the day has taken me and my cup of generosity has runneth over but I have decided to have a quick bookkeeping related quiz at the next meeting and will be awarding prizes (Don't get too excited the we are talking a box of choccies or a bottle of wine).

There will be one quiz and two categories of entry members and students (as per your ICB status for those AICB's who will try the old I am studying level 3 therefore i am a student chestnut hehehehehe.

This is for a bit of fun

So hopefully we will see a few more members there.

Kind regards
Stuart

Haha! This is something I'm very used to, most of my clients give me a shoebox or carrier bag as well. When you point out to them that if they just organise it a bit they can save a bit of money, they can't believe how obvious a point that is!

Yey we have 33 people booked in for this meeting and still a few days to go!!

We have fallen into second place though as the inaugrual meeting of the berkshire branch has got 40 members attending and that has been capped or they would have exceeded their venue capacity. Well done claire great job!!

So come London members lets have a rally and see if we cant top the 40 and retain out postiton as the largest region in the country. the Gauntlet has well and truly been thrown down.

Kind regards
Stuart

Hi Stuart  Hee Hee  I am amazed at the booking for Berkshire and looking forward to seeing everyone. Yes I had to cap it for Venue reasons but I am in the process of looking for a new venue.  Isn't quality rather than quantity (that is me helping you to pick up the Gauntlet Stuart Wink. The London meetings are more establish and this will be the first Berkshire one, still quality is planned though.

I am really looking forward to the London meeting. Mind you a public questionanire even with choccies and wine for a prize ummmm - should be fun. I am really looking foward to the talk on shoeboxes and the web / social media talk as well.

See you Wednesday at the London Meeting-

Have a good weekend all, especailly Stuart with his wee new boy Clare

I really wanted to attend this one, but so far every time there has been a reason why I can't get there. This time it is parent's evening at school... Perhaps next time I will make it. Hope it is interesting and beneficial for all attending.
