Next London Workshop

Dear All

The Next London Workshop will be held on the Last wednesday in January

With Xmas Looming we have been unable to book up a venue and due to the conference it was not practical to bring it forward a week.

This gives Mikee an additional few weeks to prepare his lecture on Cash handling and till reconciliations

Kind regards
Stuart

Thank you Stuart.  I found the last one very imformative and I have put this one in my diary.  Is there a location?

Off Topic a bit - Congratulations to Wellers Accountants for the award on Thursday - it was an honour to be at the same table as an award winner.

Hi Clare

Thank you for the congratulations the Wellers partners were chuffed.

The Location will be the St Stephens Club as we are getting a better rate due to holding more events there.

I look forward to seeing you at the next meeting in January.

Kind regards

Happy New Year to all London members!

Booked my ticket, thought I better had since I'm presenting the workshop.

It will mostly be on tills or electronic cash registers to give them their proper name. I'll briefly cover computerised point of sale sytems (POS) since one of my clients use one, the reconcilliation process is the same but the documents they produce are slightly different. My experience is mostly with bar sales, so I'll cover a bit on how to reconcile the cash and debit/credit sales against stock, but not too much detail - I reckon stock reconcilliation is whole subject on it's own.

Stuart, I should have a draft handout ready for you and Liz to proof read by next weekend. Was hoping to get it all done and dusted this weekend but have just gained another client so got a bit of prep work I wasn't expecting.

Thanks to Stuart and Mikee for organising the meeting last night, I learned a lot and really enjoyed myself!

Just a thought though....could we have the next meeting in the day or afternoon or perhaps alternate? I got home quite late last night and feeling it this morning!

Hi All

Thanks for all those who came along on Wednesday it was really good to see returnee's and also some new faces.

Mikee thanks for doing the technical lecture i thought you did a superb job and your delivery was great.

The next meeting will be on Wednesday 29th February

Dinah will be delivering the technical lecture on how to deal with the carrier bag jobs.

We have a guest speaker Mr Martyn Batten who will talk about all things web ie hosting, design SEO

Things did run away a bit towards the end I think we need to ensure we use the last half hour to network as this a good way of developing your professional contacts.

Meena I know what you mean I did not get home until gone midnight A day group would be a great idea does anyone want to step up and start a London day group please contact either myself or Ken Bell via Marthani at the ICB.

Thanks for continuing to make London Great!! Oops I mean for your continued support of the Great London group.

If you have not attended a regional meeting then please do come along it is a great way to meet you fellow bookkeepers.

Mike, your presentation was superb. Thanks to you, I have understood the bookkeeping aspect of tills.

Looking forward for the next meeting.
