Level 2 computerised mock

Hi new to the forum
Need help !! have been doing the mock for level 2 computerised and i am having trouble getting the correct answer for the vat report, vat return will not pick up purchase invoices and purchase credits in transaction vat box 4 , any one help please as i have ordered my exam and hope to have solved this issue by then , am using sage instant thanks

I would check the dates and tax codes used when entering the transactions to make sure they appear correctly first.  If you have used a T9 code then it will not appear in the VAT return.  Are none of your purchase transactions appearing?  Do they appear in box 7 (excluding VAT totals) but just not in box 4?

Hi thanks for your reply, have found the reason, wasn't anything i was doing it seems to be  the fact that in the sage software the vat cash accounting box was ticked, needed to untick it, so got the correct figure thanks

Glad you got it sorted I hadn't thought about the cash accounting being ticked which would account for the problems.
