hi i am hoping to take my computerised level 2 exam if i pass my manual level 2 on wednesday, i have worked with microsoft dynamics software for a few years and wondered if this is at all similar to sage i am quite capable when it comes to getting to know new software as i have worked in I.T for a few years so was wondering if it would be worth my while getting the fusion software free trial to get the basics of it or if you would suggest i paid for the course with a course provider as i said i am familiar with dynamics?

any help asap would be appreciated

Hi Nikki,

I have not used Microsoft dynamics so i would not be able to give you my opinion whether it is comparable to Sage or not. As per quote you should be able to get around any accounting software having worked in IT. Plus you have taken manual exam Level 2. I strongly believe you can take computerised without purchasing a course. In my opinion it would be a waste of money!!!
I suggest you give the computerised mock assignment a try so you know what the institute is expecting from your exam/final assignment. i did it and it has helped me!

I am using fusion and it is not different to Sage. I used Sage a while ago! I have experienced working with various accounting package therefore there was no way i was going to waste money purchasing a course, even if it include a software! Reason why i chosen fusion is it is offering two months trial to ICB students. You will need to tell them should you wish to take the trial offer.

if you browse the software forum and look for Ami copeland post you will come across fusion link for students.

Good luck ,

xxx

Hi Nikki,

Hmm Nice funky hairstyle!

Fusion is very good, the support is excellent too...it has got few minor inconvenience! Well that is just me cause i do tend to take things to perfection sometimes!!!

I agree that it's takes time printing report cause you need to get familiar with the software. Nothing is wrong. Figuring it out by yourself does help you to remember where to collect the information requested from when you  take the exam/final assignment. Trial is for two months, so no pressure. It is up to you.
It is excellent you are taking the mock cause you know what the institute expect you to produce!

All the best with the mock,

Nathaliexxx

Hi Nikki,

You should be able to add businesses by clicking on the left end side of fusion.
Your profile should be upgraded to accountant version to enable you to take the exam as per agreement between fusion and ICB.

If the add business is not activated call them.

Hope this help,

Nathaliexxx
