For Level III Bookkeeping, I would advise getting "Business Accounts" by David Cox (Osborne Books). It's comprehensive, and has exercises at the end of each chapter. It means you are on your own with the studying, i.e. no tutor, but it is very cost effective.
An alternative, if you need a more structured course-style approach, and you want to keep the costs down, is to look at the NEC course Advanced Bookkeeping. You can keep the costs down by using Tesco Clubcard deal points to purchase the course.
