Practice Management, Tax, Client Portal, Document Management Solutions

I have spent the last few months trialing various software to find the perfect solution for my bookkeeping practice to satisfy task management, accounts prep, tax return filing, client on boarding, client portal and document management solutions.  I want to keep the number of different softwares in use to a minimum and avoid overlap and duplication as far as possible.  Also too many multiple monthly subscriptions as these mount up!

Sadly no one piece of software has come up with the complete package as far as I can see.

I currently use mainly Xero and Payroll Manager and have been using Tax Calc this year with Dropbox for shared files and client document storage, however, I feel that Accountancy Manager, Taxfiler and OneDrive would be a more complete fit.

Intrested in any comments that people may have as to their software stack and also any developments that may be on the TaxCalc roadmap with regard to client portals and or document management solutions that may persuade me to stay for a little longer!

Thank you!

I would endorse the combination of

Sync  ( really good for security of files )

Taxfiler ( excellent for a small practice provided you are qualified and know the elements to use)

Xero or QBO

Accountancy Manager ( ideal for one or two users to have the same information to hand and also to share with the client

G Suite ( gmail for teams )

Best wishes and good luck for the future

I use Onkho for Prctice managment software, task management,CRM,  reminders for filing etc.they have now added on document management but only for the practice to store. £1.00 & VAT per client per month.

One drive for business for document management for both the practice and clients to store documents, it comes as part of my Office 365 anyway.

We currently use Toggl for timekeeping for invoicing the clients and staff payroll, it is free.

Hi Caroline

 We use

Accountancy manager - suitable for as many users as you want excellent software.

Taxfiler - Great for all Companies houses and Tax returns

Dropbox Teams.   I have one drive Business but I find it quite buggy and more companies see to use Dropbox.

LastPass Enterprise: Password manager and sharing Encrypt password securely for security and GDPR

My PAYE LTD :           Payroll Bureau, Fully Cloud no desktop and HR  best payroll software I have ever worked with.
