Hello everyone,

My question is, can you be a self employed registered in UK but working in EU country? How about income tax, do you only pay tax in UK or in the EU country as well??

Please, could you give me some advice?

Hi Anya.

i lived in France for 3 years. I was still registered as self employed in uk and in France. With France, and in my situation - I.e. Running a business there -  if you  live there for more than 6 months you are classed as resident and therefore  have to register for taxes in France. On the uk self assessment I had to declare the French profits as well, but didn't pay uk ax on them because I'd paid French tax on them....likewise for the uk profit....It is complex and depends where u live and for how long and also where the earning is actually being made.
