I have been elected treasurer for my sons primary school Parent Teachers Association.  It is the school’s first PTA.  I wonder if anyone else has created books for a PTA and if you could give any advice.  Currently it doesn’t have charity status but will be looking to do so in the near future.

Any advice or pointers to read up guides/websites would be most appreciated.

Hi ShadeT,

When we set up our school PTA a few years ago we joined PTA-UK. They have lots of great advice on their website www.pta.org.uk. They also give you insurance as part of the membership and standard forms for setting up constitutions etc.
