Hi Everyone,
:-)

Hope you all are well and business is booming!
Just wanted to send a quick mail to you all to remind you about the next meeting of the Birmingham branch.

We're meeting next Monday night, the 14th at the new venue (the BPS Synagogue) at the usual 7.15 for 7.30.

I have to say I'm looking forward to this one, I've invited two financial specialists over to speak (we may even have a third present), one is coming from Wales, the other (two) are from Winchester and they're making the journey especially to talk to us which is greatly appreciated.

I was asked about auto-enrolment and could we have a talk and some info on it. so not being very "up" on pensions approached these two contacts to see if they would be prepared to talk to us about what we need to know, what it's all about and basically give us the insight into what we should do when it comes around. They'll also advise us on the different types of pensions (- this is what I want to know as I really don't understand the different types) and it will give us knowledge to approach our clients with. Our main speaker is a font of knowledge and has happily offered to put himself in front of us to answer our questions, no matter how bizarre they may be  :-)

I've also asked them to drop in any tips and thoughts they might have about other aspects of financial planning that may be of use to us as bookkeepers to offer to our clients, and no doubt these ideas may help us ourselves in our own planning, one of them is also an expert on Will writing and has kindly offered to speak privately on a one to one or openly to the group about any personal affairs of either our own or a client's or any general financial query we may have been wondering about.

Do think this one worth coming to and look forward to seeing you all there. It's up on the website so you can book in as normal.

Take care and see you next week

> Hi Lainy,
Good to see you and glad you enjoyed it.
I think it was an informative one and I'm just here at work now checking my client's enrolment date! Pretty scary how much we'll need to do with all the opting in and out options!

See you in November, I'll confirm the date and room availability as soon as they let me know but pencil in the 21st or 28th

See you soon
Sarah

Thanks Sarah. It was a very good night. Yes could be fun with the opted in and orting out options, (maybe they will all decide to stay opted in ha ha). Its a bit scary though if their arnt enough providers, cause how can they fine if their isnt a lot of choice. (think im glad I can only do the books and not actually advise), anyway thats again. it was a very good informative and helpful night. c u at the next meeting, and at the Summit.  R u going to the breakfast meeting? C u soon.

Very best wishes
