Unfortunately there looks to be no interest in Northern Ireland whatsoever, if anyone has any comments at all please let me know on this forum

I would be interested in meeting other members, I am currently in the process of opening my own small bookkeeping business but not having much success at the minute. It would be great to talk to people who have been where I am now.

Janet I'll be only too glad to meet up and provide as much help as you need, i've had my own practice for years but I am now in employment again. Look under the practice directory on the main site for Local Business Service, my contact details are on there, it's not safe to put them on here.
Good bookkeepers are a valuable asset, generally accountants don't make good bookkeepers, they take too many shortcuts.

It's difficult and can be very lonely trying to work out everything for yourself, i'm here to help, looking forward to an email or phone call from you. post here if you can't find my contact details

Hi, Colleen
You are right about their not being a lot of support for bookkeepers in Northern Ireland, I would love to meet up. I joined my local business group a few months back to try to get help in setting up my own business but I get the feeling because I don't qualify for funding they aren't really interested, so any advertising I have done I have had to pay for myself. Its hard to know who to seek advice off because a lot of people just aren't interested.

You girls are just the sort of people I have been trying to find, I'm here to help, can you both contact me so we can arrange something and build from there. My contact details are on the practice directory on the main site under Local Business Service. If you can't find the contact details tell me by posting here, we will find some way to get in contact. This help doesn't cost anything, so please get in touch.

Janet and Colleen

I work during the day so drop me an email with your contact details and we can arrange something, it will be good to finally get something moving, I was beginning to lose hope of finding anybody here who wanted to be part of the group. I have years of experience which I am only too happy to pass on, all free to ICB members

If there are others please get in contact

The meeting went well today Suzanne, all very informal, a chance to share views, air issues, a support network, somewhere for people to learn from others there. we plan to meet possible once a month, not everyone will be able to attend monthly, get in touch suzanne, we chat an facebook quite a lot too, send an email or text, looking forward to having more people involved
